MBFW Day 2

Let’s start the second day of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid where we will meet 8 new proposals: Moises Nieto, Mané Mané, Ailanto, Amaya Arzuaga, Ana Locking, Juan Vidal, Juana Martin and Ion Fiz will present their collections today.For the second day I chose an outfit that I love: this dress in military green with metallic appliqués, openings on the shoulders and tied around the waist! I combined it with a military bag with transparent sequins, my new brown booties and Swarovski golden jewelry =)

Comenzamos la segunda jornada de la Mercedes Benz Fashion Week de Madrid donde conoceremos 8 nuevas propuestas: Moisés Nieto, Mané Mané, Ailanto, Amaya Arzuaga, Ana Locking, Juan Vidal, Juana Martin e Ion Fiz desfilarán hoy por la pasarela madrileña.Para el segundo día he elegido un outfit que me encanta: este vestido en verde militar, con apliques metálicos, aberturas en los hombros y amarrado a la cintura! Combinado con un bolso militar de lentejuelas transparentes, mis nuevos botines marrones y joyería dorada de Swarovski =)

The day begins with the show of Moises Nieto. Inspired by the “Thirteen Roses”, it presents a collection for strong wome, fighters and very feminine at the same time. Garments with lots of volume, ruffles, lace and combined with large earrings in geometric shape, bags with wide handle and booties with bright and slightly offset heels make the “uniform” of these warriors.

La jornada comienza con el desfile de Moisés Nieto. Inspirado en las Trece Rosas, nos presenta una colección para mujeres fuertes, luchadoras y femeninas al mismo tiempo. Prendas con mucho volumen, volantes, encaje y tonos metálicos combinados con grandes pendientes en forma geométrica, bolsos de asa ancha y botines con tacón brillante y ligeramente desplazado, componen el “uniforme” de estas guerreras.

Mané Mané debuted this year in the MBFW and presented us a very mix & match collection: the deconstruction of patterns, the mixture of fabrics and scruffy aesthetic, mixing traditions, sporty lines and pop aesthetic with cuts inspired by street tribes with a grunge touch.

Mané Mané debutó este año en la MBFW y nos presentó una colección muy mix&match: con la desconstrucción de patrones, la mezcla de tejidos y estética desaliñada, mezclando tradiciones, líneas deportivas y estética pop con cortes inspirados en tribus callejeras con un toque grunge.

Now time for Ailanto. Here you have some pictures from backstage giving the finishing touch to the models minutes before the show. The Muñoz brothers make a strong commitment for prints, inspired by the work of Lawren Harris. The highlights of the collection are therounded jumpsuits, without sleeves, wide straps and high waist with geometric or botanical motifs, combined with wooden clogs, wicker bags and wood and wool pendants. For all the assistants they gave us a special edition of chocolates “La Duquesita” inspired by the botanical landscapes of the collection.

Llegó la hora de Ailanto. Desde backstage vi como daban los últimos retoques a las modelos minutos antes del desfile. Los hermanos Muñoz hacen una fuerte apuesta por los estampados, inspirándose en la obra de Lawren Harris. Destacan los jumpsuits redondeados, sin mangas, de tirantes anchos y talle elevado, con motivos geométricos o botánicos, combinados con zuecos de madera, bolsos de mimbre y colgantes de madera y lana. A los asistentes al desfile nos regaló una edición especial de  bombones “La Duquesita”  inspirados en los paisajes botánicos de la colección.

Amaya Arzuaga presents a collection full of volume inspired by the space and the planetary gravitation. Amaya plays with geometry, three-dimensions, cubic volumes and symmetry. Garments were literally “floating” in the feminine silhouette. Amazing collection, I loved it!

Amaya Arzuaga nos presenta una colección llena de volumen. Inspirada en el espacio y la gravitación planetaria. Amaya juega con la geometría, la tridimensionalidad, los volúmenes cúbicos y la simetría. Además, mediante su patronaje del vacío consigue que las prendas “floten” en la silueta femenina. Una pasada de colección, ¡me encantó!

Ana Locking presented his collection “Antihero” dedicated to all anonymous antiheroes that will always have interesting stories to tell. She has mixed very modern design with classic patterns and very care finishes, mixing different textures like striped muslin, the plumetti, embroidered on silk, metallic finishes … and of course, Donald Duck, his perfect antihero, is stamped on several items of the collection.

Ana Locking presentó su colección “Antihero” dedicada a todos los antihéroes anónimos, que siempre tendrán historias interesantes que contar y por las que dejarse seducir. Para ello ha mezclado diseños muy modernos con patrones clásicos y acabados muy cuidados, mezclando diferentes texturas como la muselina rayada, el plumetti, bordados sobre seda, acabados metálicos… y por supuesto, el Pato Donald, su perfecto antihéroe, aparece estampado en varias prendas de la colección.

Juan Vidal presents his collection “Inside Linda” inspired by Linda Lovelace, a porn actress, seductive, confident, and with sexual overtones inspired by artists like Richard Liner and Allen Jones. An ode to the freedom of expression that is manifested by dresses in silk taffeta, tulle and embroidery crepe viscose, confusing the day and the night in a very sophisticated and feminine hangover.

Juan Vidal nos presenta su colección “Inside Linda” inspirada en Linda Lovelace, actriz porno, seductora, segura de sí misma, y con matices sexuales inspirados en artistas como Richard Liner y Allen Jones. Una oda a la libertad de expresión que se manifiesta mediante los vestidos en tafeta de seda, tul bordado y crepe de viscosa, confundiendo el día y la noche en una resaca muy sofisticada y femenina.

The Andalusian design comes by the hand of Juana Martin and her collection “Redemptio”. With the mourning as inspiration, as a redemption that frees the pain after death. So is her collection, a liberation for women who want to feel feminine, mixing modern and classical, baroque and minimalist elements. Black, white and gold, crosses, prints and volumes are the basic pillars of her proposal.

El diseño andaluz llega de la mano de Juana Martin y su colección “Redemptio”. Con el luto como fuente de inspiración, como una redención que permite liberar el dolor tras una muerte, así es su colección, una liberación para la mujer que quiere sentirse femenina, mezclando elementos clásicos y modernos, barrocos y minimalistas. Negro, blanco y dorado, estampados de cruces y juego de volúmenes son los pilares básicos de su propuesta.

And the last show of the day was Ion Fiz with his collection “Severine” inspired by the character of “Belle de jour” by Luis Buñuel. A lady chic style with hints of rebellion, reflecting by classic designs with contrasting textures patterns: naive dresses, overlays, chunky knit sweaters with pompoms and retro-inspired illusions. Five eggs, sculptures created by Cristina Iturrioz,  were decorating the runway. The real star of the show was the puppy “Princess Pepa” that even dared to drive a convertible =)

Y el último desfile del día fue el de Ion Fiz con su colección “Severine” inspirado en el personaje de “Belle de jour” de Luis Buñuel. Un estilo lady chic con toques de rebeldía, que refleja mediante diseños de patronaje clásico con texturas en contraste: vestidos naíf, superposiciones, jerseys de punto grueso con pompones y trampantojos de inspiración retro. Una pasarela decorada con cinco huevos estampados, esculturas creadas por Cristina Iturrioz. La auténtica protagonista del desfile la perrita “Pepa Princess” que hasta se animó a conducir un descapotable =)

After each show, time for the “Kissing Room” with cocktails especially created by each designer with Schweppes and Bombay Sapphire, in their lovely blue room called the “Art Room”.But don’t think that I was partying all day … between every show I worked and started editing some of these pictures in the “Blogger Space” from MBFW. Después de cada desfile, hora de “Kissing Room” con los cócktails ideados por cada diseñador con Schweppes y Bombay Sapphire, en su preciosa habitación azul “Art Room”.Pero no os creais que todo es fiesta… Entre desfile y desfile toca trabajar e ir editando fotos, en el “Blogger Space” de MBFW.  Aquí os dejo más detallitos de mi look de hoy.
