Haute Couture Paris – Day 1

Amazing first day of the Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris with 7 shows on the agenda =)We started at the “Tuileries Gardens”, at the ephemeral space “l’Orangerie”, where “Couturissimo” presented three exclusive collections of three designers: Sebastian Gunawan, On Aura Tout Vu and Michael Cinco.

Couturissimo is a new e-commerce platform that aims to revolutionize the world of haute couture by selling exclusive pieces worldwide at more affordable prices (from 170 € to 800 €)

Primer día de la Semana de la Alta Costura en París con 7 desfiles en la agenda  =)Comenzamos en el Jardín des Tuileries, en el espacio efímero de l’Orangerie, donde Couturissimo presenta en exclusiva las colecciones de tres diseñadores: Sebastian Gunawan, On Aura Tout Vu y Michael Cinco.

Couturissimo es una nueva plataforma de e-commerce que pretende revolucionar el mundo de la Alta Costura con la venta de piezas exclusivas a nivel mundial y a precios más accesibles (de 170€ a 800€).

 

Michael Cinco has become the first Filipino designer to showcase his collection in Paris. He knows how to create a super glamorous silhouette, and his designs already have a big succeed in the UAE and on the red carpet, where Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Lady Gaga, are some of his customers. Michael did not leave anyone indifferent in Paris. His collection was a big success, and I’m sure this is only the beginning =)

Michael Cinco se ha convertido en el primer diseñador filipino en desfilar en París. Él sabe crear una silueta super glamurosa, y sus piezas ya triunfan en EAU y en la alfombra roja, donde Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna y Lady Gaga, son algunos de sus clientes. En París no dejó indiferente a nadie. Su colección fue todo un éxito, y seguro que es sólo el principio =)

Sebastian Gunawan, diseñador indonesio, sorprendió con una cuidada colección con lujosos materiales y ornamentos.

On Aura Tout Vu, the duo formed by Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov, presented a collection inspired by Spanish bullfighting.

After those shows, we had run to “YOYO” at the Palais de Tokyo, where Yuima Nakazato presented her new collection inspired by a recent trip to Iceland, and its breathtaking landscapes of icebergs and auroras.

Al terminar estos desfiles, tuvimos que ir corriendo hasta “YOYO” en el Palais de Tokyo, donde Yuima Nakazato presentó su nueva colección inspirada en un reciente viaje a Islandia, y sus sorprendentes paisajes de icebergs y auroras boreales.

We headed then to the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild, where Lan Yu presented a very soft and delicate collection, with very light and ethereal materials such as silk, tulle, embroidery, appliqués of crystals and sequins, playing with the sensuality of the  shoulders.

Nos dirigimos después al Hotel Salomon de Rothschild, donde Lan Yu presentó una colección muy suave, con materiales muy ligeros y etéreos como la seda, tules, bordados, y apliques de cristales y lentejuelas, jugando con la sensualidad de los hombros.

The Stock Exchange of Paris was the place chosen by the Chinese designer, Guo Pei, to present her precious collection. It is the second time that she is invited to showcase her collection in Paris. The dress had the leading role with tassels, fringes, beads, feathers or stones, but Guo Pei also took the opportunity to present her first collection of high heels.

La Bolsa de Comercio de París fue el lugar elegido por la diseñadora china, Guo Pei para presentar su preciosa colección. Es la segunda vez que es invitada a desfilar en París. El vestido fue el auténtico protagonista con borlas, flecos, perlas, plumas o piedras, aunque aprovechó la ocasión para presentar su primera colección de tacones.

To finish the day, Atelier Versace fashion show at Paris Stock Exchange. The Italian firm came back with sensuality, using predominantly pastel shades, like lilac or green water, but also stronger shades like red or black. On the catwalk we found Irina Shayk, Bella Hadid, Joan Smalls and Taylor Hill. And in the front row, Naomi Campbell, Jennifer Garner and Bradley Cooper.

Y para terminar el día, desfile de Atelier Versace, en la Bolsa de París. La firma italiana vuelve cargada de sensualidad, predominando los tonos pastel,c omo el lila o el verde agua, frente a tonos más fuertes como el rojo o el negro. En la pasarela encontramos a Irina Shayk, Bella Hadid,Joan Smalls y Taylor Hill. Y en el front row, Naomi Campbell, Jennifer Garner y Bradley Cooper.
